Opioid Use and Misuse Curriculum
Working together to achieve big goals.
The Office of Interdisciplinary Education develops and implements novel strategies that use teams of specialists to drive improvements in health through interprofessional educational programming, research, and community engagement.
We make a difference in people’s lives by leading team-based interprofessional practice education experiences throughout a student’s journey to their career. Our teams of educators, clinicians, and scientists work with students across the Health Sciences and many other areas of the university. We also are heavily engaged in our community, partnering to build healthier lives through team care.
Our faculty come from all areas of the University, and Pitt has some of the most world-renowned individuals on our teams. Being on the best teams means being committed to excellence. We are committed to:
- Team-based healthcare and education that encourages a level-playing field for care delivery where everyone is supported and valued,
- Putting the community, patient, and their goals at the center of our work,
- Communication that respects differences and rewards civil discernment,
- Including our entire community and creating a sense of belonging,
- Innovating, sharing, and evaluating our efforts continually,
- Building new models of care that improve health,
- Inspire and develop leaders that value cooperative interdependence and interdisciplinary healthcare, and
- Having an impact with our communities locally and globally
Let’s work together.
